Park pass calculator

Tick the parks on your route, say how many adults are in the car and whether you live in the US: the calculator adds up the gate fees and the 2026 surcharge, then compares them with the annual pass.

Buy the pass: you save $485.

One pass covers the pass holder and everyone in the same private car, including the non-resident surcharge. Buy it at the first park entrance, online from recreation.gov (digital) or the USGS store (posted). Prices checked on nps.gov in October 2026. Fees for tribal parks (Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon) and state parks are separate.

How it works

Each park counts its 2026 entrance fee per car, as read on nps.gov. At the 11 parks that charge it, every non-resident adult (16 and over) adds the $100 surcharge, unless the car carries an annual pass.

The pass costs $80 for US residents and $250 for everyone else. It covers the car and everyone in it for twelve months, and it covers the surcharge too. “Other parks” adds a typical $30 per entry for sites not in the list.

The full explanation, with the rules and the examples, is in our guide: Park pass.
