Example: the $100 non-resident surcharge at 11 national parks

· National Park Service — entrance fees

Since 1 January 2026, visitors who are not US residents pay $100 per person (16 and over) on top of the entrance fee at 11 of the busiest national parks.

The surcharge applies at 11 parks, including the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone and Zion. It is charged per non-resident adult, on top of the usual fee per car.

The non-resident America the Beautiful pass ($250) covers the car, everyone in it and every surcharge for a year. Our park pass calculator shows when it pays for itself.
