Why we picked it

We would book it for the rhythm of the day it allows: a hike to String Lake or Hidden Falls from the cabin, an afternoon on a cruiser bike along the park pathway, and a five-course dinner at the lodge without driving anywhere. It is a rare chance to sleep well inside a national park, and the lodge keeps TVs out of the rooms on purpose.

Hotels in Grand Teton: your questions

Where should I stay for Grand Teton National Park?

Inside the park for the views and the trails, or in Jackson for choice and restaurants. Jenny Lake Lodge sits near Jenny Lake and String Lake; the Antler Inn is one block from Jackson’s Town Square, 10 miles from the park and 10–15 minutes from the south entrance. Read our Grand Teton travel guide

How far ahead should I book?

Jenny Lake Lodge opens reservations a year in advance, and its cabins go quickly for July and August. In Jackson, book several months ahead for summer, when rates are at their highest.

When is the best time to visit Grand Teton?

June to September. July has the wildflowers, late September the golden aspens and the elk rut. Jenny Lake Lodge is open from June to early October; the Antler Inn also runs a free ski shuttle in winter. When to visit Grand Teton

How do I get from Jackson Hole Airport to these hotels?

Rent a car. The Antler Inn says the airport is about 15–20 minutes from downtown Jackson. Jenny Lake Lodge is inside the park, off the Teton Park Road north of the Moose entrance.

Which of the two hotels suits families?

The Antler Inn: Family Fireplace Rooms have two double beds and a king, and the Cedar Family Suite adds a loft and a full kitchen. Jenny Lake Lodge cabins sleep two to four, with no rollaway beds.

Do I pay the park entrance fee if I stay at Jenny Lake Lodge?

Yes, the lodge stay does not include park entry: $35 per vehicle for seven days, plus $100 per non-US resident aged 16 and over, unless you hold an America the Beautiful pass, which also covers Yellowstone.

Can I book these hotels directly?

Yes. The See prices button under Jenny Lake Lodge opens the lodge’s official website. For the Antler Inn it opens Trip.com, one of our booking partners. Both open in a new tab.
